The Midwest has earned its reputation for producing solid bluesy garage rock and Burlington, KY’s The Lions Rampant put a big exclamation mark behind that statement with their recent EP release Play Rock N Roll. It is the bands second self-released EP (you can download the first one for free here) and it contains seventeen minutes of straightforward pure rawkus fun! The key component about The Lions Rampant is that the three piece seem very ordinary but the energy they launch in their power chords get immediate attention and sends the listener into a Garage rock bliss. Lead singer Stuart MacKenzie’s soaring vocals lets loose on every track and the band has been gaining attention getting airplay on our favorite Internet station while being featured in several magazines as a band to watch, so if you are into the garage rock thing make sure you download yourself a copy of Play Rock N Roll for free at the band’s website (EP download) because it won’t disappoint and it will keep you going until the band gets a full length out the door!

Key Tracks: “70-30″, “Cryin’ All The Time!”, “Need A Man?”
